Snow Day in March?

Addison seems to be the happiest when she is on the edge of falling off of something.  So, it should come as no surprise that daddy’s shoulders are one of her favorite places to hang out and pull daddy’s hair and smack daddy in the face and all those wonderful things that a 15 month old loves to do.

She has also been very interested in standing lately.  She is a curious little girl, so she likes to see what we are doing in the bath before bath time.

You also know that she’s a big fan of splashing while in the tub.  She has recently discovered that if she stands up in the tub, she has more room to splash and make bigger waves.

Believe it or not, it snowed almost a foot yesterday in Tulsa.  I don’t know the exact measurement, but it was definitely more than a little and not quite a ton, so about a foot sounds right.  We played outside with our neighbors and had a wonderful time.  Although Addison has seen snow before, she's never been able to play in it.   So, for the first time, she suited up in her bear suit and crawled around in the snow.

Last but not least, we have a video for you.  A new development that we just discovered...

Tiny Dancer

In between our kitchen and our laundry room, there is a hallway with a tile floor where you can hear an echo.  If you are a 15 month old little girl, this is a great place to SCREAM at the top of your lungs!
You might as well dance a little too...

Friday, March 20

I guess you know it’s been too long since an update when you start getting threats from family and friends.  Addison has had a busy few weeks.  She went to Waco to visit Grans and Grandaddy for a few days, and got to be the guest speaker at Grans’s class on special needs.  She did a great job, and I think she loved the attention.  She put on quite a show waving, talking and smiling at these students who have been hearing about her all semester.  She then took her first trip to Austin, Texas where she attended her first baby shower.  She didn’t really get into any of the games, but she did enjoy playing with the tissue paper, and tried to eat another girl’s cake.

After we returned home, she had a visit from Grammy and BopBop.  She took a little bit to remember them, but once she did, she had a blast.  We did a little bit of shopping and lots of eating and relaxing- just what the doctor ordered

Addison has grown up so much in the last few weeks.  She is pulling up on everything that’s attached, and occasionally on something that’s not.  She now signs more, milk, eat and all done.  Other new experiences have included eating dog food- which I don’t think she liked, but probably would be willing to try again, and being told she’s going to be a big sister- which she doesn’t care much about yet.  We’ll see how she feels when September rolls around!

Nice Hair

Addison's hair is definitely getting longer.  She's doing funny stuff everyday.  As much as she likes being outside, I think she's ready for winter to be over.
Here's another video for your viewing pleasure.  She's been very interested in getting that bunny on her foot.  I'm sure she'll get it eventually!
